Biblins Youth Campsite
Biblins campsite is situated in the beautiful Wye Valley along a mile of riverside meadows four miles north of Monmouth, close to the famous Symonds Yat rapids. This location makes it one of the best places in Southern Britain for young people to enjoy outdoor education in spectacular scenery. For the safety of the young people use is restricted to pre-booked youth groups and qualified staff. Its seclusion in the depths of the Wye Gorge gives Biblins a very special “backwoods” feel. The site is situated in the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is surrounded by the woodland of the Wye Gorge Site of Special Scientific Interest.
Accommodation consists of The Bunkhouse with room for 35, The Burrow, sleeping 19 and camping for up to 450 in 11 fields. There is no electricity on site but the Bunkhouse has a generator. Open fires are allowed on designated hearths and firewood is available for a small additional charge. Many outdoor activities are available locally. There are walking and cycling trails in the Wye Valley itself and in the nearby Forest of Dean.
The site is less than 2 miles from the A40 giving good motorway access from the M4, M5 and M50.

This suspension footbridge will take you from England (north) to Wales (south) in some of the most scenic country you will find. The bridge was built in 1957 and refurbished in 1997 when the towers were replaced and the steps were replaced by ramps.
The bridge is far away from any roads, but the south end is where the Wye Valley Railway once ran. This was well known for being the most beautiful stretch of railway in the UK. There is a sign warning that no more than 6 people should cross at a time.
